My approach to urban photography is less architectural and more an abstract neon behind glass and grates approach, and billboards- lots of billboards. Some pieces represent an attempt to capture the over-exposure of our visual environment in urban places, others are much more peaceful as I try to find beauty in the middle of such madness. There are few activities more enticing for me than capturing the lights on a rainy night in new york city or setting up a tripod at 4am in Amsterdam.

Are you feeling contaminated by all this neon and concrete? In an effort to bring balance to your current visual landscape, check out my abstract expressions and reflections in nature gallery . The music photography gallery featuring trey anastasio, phish, sci, and oysterhead concert photos, is also worth a visit.
