True Story with Iggy and the Stooges
Coachella Valley Music Festival, 2003
My first lessons in creating photo compositions stemmed from the live concert experience. The lights, the the space, the theatre of participants in this traveling circus known simply as "tour." Presented here are 2 pages of my music photography pursuits from 1999-2003.
To find a way to mix all this eye candy into a single image took a bit of luck and a lot of learning on the fly. My first multiple exposure photo was created on accident as my camera gears were stripped and only moved the film a bit, not an entire frame, leaving me with a chunk of never ending images, the result of which told the story of a great weekend.
As I photographed more rolls, the problem in my camera began to fix itself, so I then learned how to do this process of multiple exposure intentionally. No images or composition of images presented here were created outside my camera.
